About this work
Built to be used, designed to be seen. This one-of-a-kind end-grain cutting board brings together the dramatic striping of zebrawood, the rich depth of walnut, warm padauk, and contrasting maple in a bold architectural pattern.
Each hardwood is individually selected, cut, arranged and finished by hand, creating a graphic composition that changes across the board as the natural grain moves through each section. The end-grain construction provides a durable cutting surface while turning an everyday kitchen essential into a functional piece of art.
Boards take about 2 weeks to make and then shipping and handling :)
We let the wood do most of the showing off. Grain, knots and natural color are part of the finished piece, not something we hide.
